Focus and Scope

JITP: Jurnal Inovasi dan Transformasi Pendidikan is a scholarly journal that publishes original research articles, conceptual and theoretical studies, review articles, case studies, and innovations in the fields of education, teaching, and learning. The journal aims to provide a platform for the dissemination of knowledge and scholarly practices that contribute to the advancement and improvement of education at the primary, secondary, vocational, and higher education levels.

JITP focuses on the development of educational theories, practices, technologies, policies, and innovations that respond to social change, advances in science and technology, the needs of the world of work, and contemporary educational challenges at local, national, and global levels.

The scope of JITP includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Teaching and Learning Methods and Strategies
    Research and studies on innovative approaches, models, methods, strategies, and techniques designed to improve the effectiveness, quality, engagement, and meaningfulness of teaching and learning processes.
  2. Teacher Education and Professional Development
    Research on pre-service teacher education, teacher competencies, professional education, continuing professional development, career development, and the professional enhancement of teachers and educational personnel across various levels of education.
  3. Technology in Education
    Studies on the use of digital technologies, multimedia, educational applications, artificial intelligence, learning management systems, online and blended learning, instructional media, and other technologies to improve educational quality and access.
  4. Learning Analytics and Educational Data Analysis
    Research on the use of learning data to analyze learning processes and behaviors, student engagement, learning outcomes, instructional effectiveness, and evidence-based or data-informed educational decision-making.
  5. Educational Policy, Management, and Leadership
    Studies on educational policy, educational management, institutional governance, educational leadership, quality assurance, and policy implementation related to educational transformation and quality improvement.
  6. Educational Assessment and Evaluation
    Research and innovation in learning assessment, educational measurement, program evaluation, competency assessment, development and validation of assessment instruments, and the use of technology in educational assessment and evaluation.
  7. Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
    Research and studies in technical education, vocational education, vocational training, workforce development, technical and professional competencies, employability skills, twenty-first-century skills, industry–education collaboration, and vocational human resource development.
  8. Industrial Practice, Internships, and Work-Based Learning
    Scholarly articles derived from industrial practice, internships, workplace experience, teaching factory activities, work-based learning, and other forms of industry-based learning. Topics may include the application of knowledge and skills in industrial settings, manufacturing processes, machine maintenance, production systems, industrial technology, occupational safety and health, quality control, industrial management, workplace problem-solving, technological innovation, and learning outcomes resulting from industrial practice.
  9. Social Science Education
    Research on teaching, learning, and curriculum development in social science education, including sociology, history, civic education, geography, economics, and other related social science disciplines.
  10. Curriculum, Educational Research, and Development
    Studies on curriculum design, development, implementation, evaluation, and innovation; development of instructional materials and learning tools; research and development; and other developmental approaches in education.
  11. Global and Contemporary Issues in Education
    Studies addressing contemporary educational issues such as inclusive education, equity and access, sustainability education, education for sustainable development, globalization, digital transformation, and social changes affecting educational systems and practices.
  12. Learning Environments
    Research on the design, development, management, and effectiveness of physical, digital, virtual, and hybrid learning environments and their influence on learners' experiences and educational outcomes.
  13. Action Research and Educational Innovation
    Classroom action research, school action research, development and implementation of instructional models, teaching innovation, best practices, and other forms of innovation aimed at improving educational processes and outcomes.

JITP welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, educational practitioners, instructors, and professionals from business and industry. Published articles are expected to demonstrate clear scholarly or practical contributions and to support the development of education that is high-quality, inclusive, adaptive, innovative, relevant to workforce needs, and sustainable.

JITP accepts research articles, review articles, conceptual articles, case studies, action research, research and development studies, and practice-based articles, including scholarly works developed from industrial practice and work-based learning experiences.
